Significant milestones and achievements marked the 2023-2024 school year. We began by opening four campuses: two elementary schools, a high school, and the first Early Childhood center.
However, the year was not just about opening new campuses; it was the numerous accomplishments on each of the 27 campuses throughout the district. High school and middle school students earned district, regional, and state championships in athletics and academics, showcasing their dedication and talent. The Learners Showcase at each elementary school allowed students to show off their work to families. We honored the exceptional faculty and staff members with the Celebration of Service events. Each one of these was an opportunity for our district to celebrate those who fill each building throughout the year.
Community engagement was a vibrant aspect of the year, with events like homecoming parades, the Hope Walk, and the Fire Truck Pull, all of which fostered a strong sense of community spirit. Each day brought a new event and a new experience for the community to witness the excellence that is a part of our daily life.
As the school year drew to a close, Prosper ISD celebrated with grade-level awards, NHS inductions, and end-of-the-year banquets. The celebrations reached their peak with three graduations at Children’s Health Stadium, where over 1,500 students received their diplomas and tossed their caps in the air. These graduates, our future teachers, engineers, doctors, nurses, computer programmers, welders, and architects, are a testament to the transformative power of education.
Prosper ISD takes immense pride in its students’ achievements and the dedication of its staff. Excellence was evident both in and out of the classroom, setting the stage for another successful year. This August, we will add a new elementary and middle school, and we look forward to welcoming almost 30,000 students on the first day of school.
