As we approach the start of the new school year, I wanted to remind you about our upcoming Schedule Walk event on August 8th and few other items leading up to the start of the school year!
Schedule Walk
All students in grades 6-8 may walk their schedules on Thursday, August 8. On this date, schedules may be viewed and printed through Skyward.
All sixth graders can walk their schedule from 3:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. Grades 7-8 may walk their schedule from 5:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. There will be a boys and girls athletic meeting starting at 6:30 for any 7th and 8th grade students participating in athletics. Counselors and Assistant Principals will be on campus to help direct students and answer any questions.
This event is an excellent opportunity for students to:
Walk their class schedules
Locate their classrooms
Meet some of their teachers
Get familiar with the school layout
We're looking forward to seeing all our students and their families at the Schedule Walk. It's a great event to ease any back-to-school jitters and start the year off on the right foot.
School Times Arrival and Dismissal: Middle School - 8:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
With us being a brand new middle school, this can create new traffic patterns that we will be learning about throughout the school year. The Prosper ISD police department will be assisting with traffic and student commuters on Coit. This will take some time for our traffic patterns to normalize. During drop off and pick up we ask that parents remain in your cars and discuss with your students which side of the building you will be dropping off and picking up based on our arrival and dismissal map linked below.

Prosper ISD Transportation
Bus routes are now being added to Skyward, so please check there for the latest updates. This year transportation services are utilizing the StopFinder app, which is fully integrated with Prosper ISD routing software, GPS and other communications tools to provide accurate, real-time data. The app includes bus schedules and allows parents to set up notifications to track their child’s route, view the bus’s location and receive updates on arrival times and delays.

Parent Teacher Organization - PTO
All families are encouraged to join our Jones Middle School PTO! All school volunteer opportunities are run through our Parent-Teacher Organization. Get involved and make a difference for our students and school community!
School Supplies
In the spring, all middle schools offered parents the chance to purchase school supply packs. Middle school students can pick up their pre-ordered supplies during schedule walk on August 8th. If you did not previously purchase a school supply pack for your middle school student, school supply lists for each campus can be found at the link below.
This is a reminder that students do not need to bring all their supplies the first day. These supplies are intended to last the entire year. Please send your student with a few supplies the first day, and add additional supplies as needed.

Lunch Information

Meal prices are as follows:
Secondary Breakfast: $1.90
Secondary Lunch: $3.50
There are several à la carte options that vary in price including chick fil-a, ice cream, candy, and other drink options. Please make sure you discuss meal options with your student and how much they should be spending each week. Money may be added to student lunch accounts here. Note that funds added to meal accounts will not be available until the next day. Technology
Students in Prosper ISD are provided a Chromebook to use throughout the year. Each campus has a technician to help with any technology needs. If you are new to Prosper ISD, student will receive their chrome book by the end of the first week.
