New Families to Prosper 2024-25
We hope this message finds you well and excited as your child begins their educational journey with Prosper ISD. We are truly honored that you have chosen our district, and we are committed to ensuring your child's success throughout their time here.
Prosper ISD is the fastest-growing district in North Texas and the second fastest-growing district in the entire state. Over 3,400 new students enrolled in Prosper ISD last year alone.
INCREASED ENROLLMENT AT HALL ELEMENTARY
We want to be open and transparent about increased enrollment at Hall Elementary, which currently has over 1,100 students. This number exceeds the building's capacity by a significant margin, and we must ensure that our students continue to learn in a conducive environment while prioritizing their safety. We want to ensure that we minimize the number of students in our portable learning buildings–especially our littlest learners. As always, student safety is a critical consideration every day.
In light of this, we have made the difficult decision to close enrollment at Hall Elementary to new students for the 2024-2025 school year.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE MY CHILD WILL ATTEND SCHOOL FOR 2024-2025?
This placement is for the 2024-25 school year only. Your children will attend Bryant Elementary School at 3830 Freeman Way, Prosper, TX 75078, approximately 2.8 miles from Hall Elementary. Your students will be eligible for transportation to this campus for the 2024-2025 school year.
WHERE WILL MY CHILD ATTEND SCHOOL in 2025-2026?
In 2025-2026, we anticipate opening two new elementary schools. So, we have not yet established attendance boundaries for those schools. The Board of Trustees will approve the attendance boundaries for all elementary schools no later than December 2024. As part of our attendance boundary adjustment process, we will have meetings to gather input from affected families.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS
We understand that this decision may raise questions and concerns, and we want to assure you that we have carefully considered the best interests of all our students in making this choice. Our primary focus is to provide a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment for all children, and this decision is vital in achieving that goal.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to contact us. We value your partnership and collaboration in ensuring the best educational experience for your child.
At Prosper ISD, excellence is the standard we strive for daily, from our dedicated staff and eager students. We take immense pride in providing exceptional educational opportunities to all learners, which has led to our district being recognized as one of the fastest-growing in the nation. Last year alone, we welcomed 3,400 new students, and our total enrollment has now reached over 31,000 students. With this growth comes the need for expansion to accommodate our increasing student population. In 2023, we opened four new campuses – one high school, two elementary schools, and one early childhood school. In 2024, we will open one new middle school and one new elementary school. In 2025, we will open our fourth high school, sixth middle school, and two additional elementary schools.
