Advanced Academics and CCMR
Advanced Academics and CCMR Mission Statement
The mission of the Prosper ISD Advanced Academics and College, Career, Military Department is to recognize and nurture students by providing opportunities to develop their talents and essential habits of mind. Our goal is to prepare students for life after graduation through a robust curriculum, resources, programs, and activities that equip them for college, the workforce, and successful careers. We aim to empower students with the tools they need to positively contribute to their communities.
What is College, Career and Military Readiness
College, Career, and Military readiness (CCMR) is about preparing students for life after graduation. CCMR consists of curriculum, resources, programs, and activities that help students have the tools they need to enter college, the workforce, or the military. CCMR is ingrained in the educational model of Texas schools and within Prosper ISD. CCMR is supported by state guidelines, partnerships with higher education organizations, local businesses, and local military recruiters/branches.
How do we support students and provide CCMR opportunities to all students?
Our commitment to College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) begins in elementary school and continues through graduation. By providing a robust foundation in core subjects and offering specialized pathways, JROTC, and career and technical education programs of study, we empower students to explore their passions and develop the skills necessary to succeed in higher education, the workforce, or military service. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and adaptability to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Helping students to discover their passions and plan for their future is part of daily life across the district through our:
Challenging curriculum
Unique course offerings
Informative resources and tools
Supportive faculty and staff
Events and activities such as College Fairs and Career Days
