Parents of Prosper ISD students had the unique opportunity to step into their child's academic shoes through the “Experience Prosper ISD” initiative. This engaging event, held across all three high schools, invited parents to participate in the same Career & Technical Education (CTE), Advanced Academics, and Fine Arts classes their children experience.
The first of three scheduled meetings took place on Thursday, October 3. Parents were led through immersive activities such as AP Human Geography, Broadcast and Photography, and Band and Drill Team by department leadership, classroom teachers, and students. Attendees learned how to march, perform dance steps, operate a newsroom, and even got in front of the camera themselves.
This event provided an invaluable opportunity for parents to not only sit in the classrooms their children will occupy but also gain firsthand insight into the innovative learning experiences Prosper ISD offers. It's a fantastic way to connect parents with the advanced academic, technical, and artistic education that their students will receive in the coming years.
