Thank You to the PEF...

I just want to take a moment to thank those that assist in any way with the Prosper Education Foundation (PEF). The Foundation underwrites professional training for our staff, provides student scholarships for MANY of our Prosper graduates and recognizes our outstanding teachers and staff by rewarding one person per campus each month with the Star Polisher Award. And honestly, the list goes on with regard to the support they provide our district. Thank you to everyone who helps support the great and appreciated work of the foundation.

Officially a "District of Innovation"

Prosper ISD now has the official distinction as a “District of Innovation” giving the district more local control over issues like the academic calendar, district level committees/membership, the appraisal process, and certification requirements pertaining to the CTE program. Unfortunately, Facebook strikes again with some misinformation. Evidently, there has been chatter claiming “District of Innovation” equals year-round schools. With regard to Prosper ISD, nothing could be further from the truth. The District Site-Based Committee has narrowed the calendar options and would like your input by completing the survey below. One primary goal of the calendar for next year is attempting to finish the school year prior to Memorial Day in May – the District of Innovation (DOI) distinction grants us the flexibility to adjust the “start date” allowing that to be a possibility. As always, I appreciate those who reach out to us to “verify” information that they have seen or heard in cyberspace.
