My name is Keely Moldovan and I am thrilled to be the director of the new Eagle Emeralds Dance & Drill Team at Rogers Middle School! Dancing has been a passion of mine since I was six years old! I am trained in all areas of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop. Growing up, I danced on a competitive company and began assistant teaching at the age of twelve. In high school and into my first years of college, I taught all genres and levels of dance. I was a Texas Legends Dancer for the D-NBA team the Texas Legends in Frisco for three seasons (2011-2014), two of which I was a "group leader," (captain). As a member of the Texas Legends dance team, I did some choreography for the team, as well as help with teaching Junior Legends Dancer clinics, and taught and helped run Texas Legends Dancer auditions. For now, I have stepped away from dancing to teach, however, I still have my own dreams with dancing!
I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Development and Family Studies. I began teaching at the elementary school level in 2013 where I worked primarily in special education, grades K-6. Last year was my first year with Prosper ISD, in which I was blessed to become the dance teacher at Reynolds Middle School! This year, I am thrilled to be the dance teacher at both Reynolds and Rogers Middle Schools, and to be the director of the Eagle Emeralds Dance & Drill Team at Rogers Middle school! I absolutely love sharing my passion and love for dance with kids!
When I'm not teaching dance, I love to spend time with my husband, Paul, and our fur-child, Mollie (the cutest lab mix in the entire world). Paul and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for three years! My personal life is still infused with dance, as my twelve year old sister (who attends Reynolds Middle School) is a member of the dance company at Prodigy Dance & Performing Arts Centre. Forget Dance Moms! What about those fierce Dance Sisters!?! I absolutely love being involved with her dancing and the million costumes I rhinestone for her, as well as watching her learn and perform. I'm like a sappy mom while watching her on stage! I love that we share a passion for dance; we are very close because of it!
I can't wait to see how all of my Eagle Emeralds SHINE this year!!!
