My vision for Hughes Elementary is that it is a place where ALL are welcome. That community isn’t just the students, teachers, and parents, but our neighborhood, and beyond. My goal as the Principal is to help ensure that Hughes is a safe and welcoming place for our students. A place where they can become problem solvers, develop their creativity, and learn to be flexible thinkers all while learning to become good members of the community by collaborating with peers and demonstrating empathy towards others. None of these things can happen, however, without the support of an amazing staff of educators who value the relationships they build with our students. I truly believe even one person really can make a difference. At Hughes this year our theme is "Make it Happen" and we are going to do just that,...make great things happen for all of our students! 

My goal as an educator is to provide a safe and engaging learning environment for our students to grow into well rounded responsible citizens. We will work with our educators to create experiences that prepare our learners for success in ever-changing global society. We are committed to excellence.
