Vision for Prosper ISD:
As a parent, I am thrilled with the quality of education that my children are receiving in the Prosper Independent School District. We love the feeling of community and caring that we see every day in our interaction with the teachers, staff, and administration. It is my strong desire to see that the district maintains this level of excellence for years to come. This will be no small feat, however, in the face of the challenges lying ahead of the district—challenges from a slowing economy and challenges from the return of the growth that we know is ahead of us someday. In both my career and my community service, I have led organizations through periods of both high growth and painful slowdown. I recognize the challenges of maintaining a culture of excellence through these turbulent times and relish the chance to be a part of the team successfully navigating the waters together.
As a son and a husband, I have spent most of my life with school teachers. My mother and my wife truly loved their time as educators and were constantly rewarded by seeing the fruits of their efforts in the lives of their students. I know too of the challenges and headaches that they often faced as part of their chosen role. I look forward to a chance to serve those like them and to do what I can to maximize the impact of their investment in the lives of our children.

At least one of my children has been in every school within the Prosper ISD and we have always been very pleased with the quality of education provided by the teachers and the leadership provided by the administration.  It is the Board’s responsibility to steward the resources provided by taxpayers to best prepare students for life after Prosper High School.

I do not take lightly the awesome responsibility of representing and serving the families and students of the Prosper ISD and will use my past experience and education to ensure that the Prosper ISD meets the expectation of excellence in everything.

My children have each been PISD students since Kindergarten. Our family has experienced growth in the district when PISD expanded from its third campus, Folsom Elementary to now. I have spent the last eight years volunteering on five campuses, getting to know students, parents, staff and administrators. Equally valuable, I have become familiar with the processes and systems that PISD relies on to provide an exemplary experience for all.

I realize how important preparation, organization, readiness and communication are as we are poised to dramatically grow in the near future. My heartfelt goal is to help PISD maintain its focus on the highest quality education, character development and positive impact the changes will undoubtedly have on our children. I am honored to serve as a PISD Board member.
